چکیده

Cerebral tuberculoma is the commonest extrapulmonary lesion in tuberculosis, presenting with symptoms of an intracranial space occupying lesion. Computed tomography (CT) has been a major advance in its diagnosis and management1. For unknown reasons, these tuberculomas sometimes become manifest, or expand, during successful treatment for tuberculosis elsewhere in the body'-5. So far, only about 20 cases have been described, and we think that the following case is the first of its kind to be reported from India, though the country is flooded with tuberculosis.

Paradoxical reactions are due to the immune response of the host to ATT. They are commonly seen in the intensive phase of chemotherapy. However, paradoxical reactions occurring after completion of A...

Paradoxical enlargement of lymph nodes during therapy of central nervous system tuberculosis.

Paradoxical response (PR) to appropriate anti-TB therapy is encountered mainly in lymph nodes, brain and lungs. It is well documented in lymph nodes, with some series quoting an incidence of 30%, whereas in the brain, PR incidence has been reported to occur at a lesser degree. In a recent publication of a small series of CNS tuberculoma, PR occurred in 16% of the patients. In pulmonary TB, the ...
